Featuring a cast of talented artists who are going to channel each of the artists they’re portraying, this year we are paying tribute to some popular and some unsung performing artists of song and dance. As always, we entertain, as well as educate you about each artists we pay tribute to. Some of the tributes are of Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Joe Williams, Joe Cocker, Phyllis Hyman, Bobby Womack just to name a few.  

Don’t miss Spring at the Pops, featuring Northwinds Concert Band. The acclaimed sixty-piece Northwinds ensemble has been playing concerts in the Florissant Performing Arts Center for over thirty years. As always, this year’s event presents traditional favorites! 

The pageant, held annually in the St. Louis Area and presented by the Missouri Senior Cameo Club, exemplifies the elegance of senior women over the age of 60. Contestants compete in four categories: A personal interview with judges (prior to pageant), poise in an evening gown, recitation of a 35-second philosophy of life, and a 2 1/2-minute talent presentation.

All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a young girl who understands animals; Templeton, the gluttonous rat; and most of all, Charlotte, the spider, who proves to be a true friend and a good writer. This beautiful, charming play about friendship will surely warm your heart.
