Join us for a night of music dedicated to launching the next generation of artists and musicians in North County. Our third in the “Stardust Serenade” series, this year’s concert, titled “Taking Flight,” will feature songs from pop music, the classical world, and Broadway. The stage will be filled with soloists, a full chorus, and string orchestra comprised of current and former members of the Ferguson-Florissant School District. Since our first concert in 2022, the “Stardust Serenade” concerts have raised more than $20,000 for the Mary and Ike Eichenberger Music Scholarship as well as the Music Departments of the Ferguson-Florissant School District. From the creators of The Producers comes the celebrated West End Version of this monster musical comedy. The grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick (Igor) and a leggy lab assistant (Inga), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds. Presented by the Hawthorne Players.

Vivid monologues and historical songs from the period transport audience members back to 1912. From the grandeur of Titanic’s launch, to the harrowing night of the sinking, to choosing hope in the aftermath, Unsinkable Women highlights not only the disaster itself but the strength and transformation of women such as Margaret “Molly” Tobin Brown and Madeline Astor in the years that followed.
